We gave Coco a bath
Despite what she looks like in this photo she did not HATE the bath, the blow dryer on the other hand was a different story...

When Quinn is at work....
There is only so much to do when you are stuck in a hotel room without a car in Memphis TN... When Quinn is at work Coco and I can get pretty bored.

Going from a lifestyle of school, work, homework, wedding planning, etc. to a life of nothing to do.. can be quite a dramatic change. Before I always thought "when my schedule isn't so full I will do so many things I don't have time for now. I will work out everyday, I'll read all those books I've been hearing so much about, I'll catch up on all the T.V. shows I've missed, I'll finish all of my started art projects and then decorate every wall in my house with my stuff," the list goes on and on.... The funny thing I have discovered is without a list of things to do everyday I pretty much do nothing at all. Today for example Coco and I woke up somewhere around 12 or 1 in the afternoon cooked ourselves some breakfast (egg and toast like always). Went for a short walk came back to the hotel room and watch Vampire Diaries until around 7:30 p.m. When Quinn told us he was on his way home.. I then quickly picked up our hotel room and hopped in the shower, to destroy the evidence of our laziness before Quinn got home. This is the way I spend probably half my time in Memphis.. Not always watching Vampire Diaries of course we like to switch up our shows and not every day we are quite so lazy...but still we don't get too much more productive than this unless we got crazy good sleep the night before or have had a V8 energy drink with our breakfast(we should probably buy more of those)Anyway, kind of a pointless blog, but I needed a break from Vampire Diaries;)

Beale Street
We took a trip to Beale street:) It seemed to be the most talked about place to go see so we decided to check it out....
Our little frozen Memphis family
Beale street was talked up a little bit too much.. It wasn't really our scene basically it's a small strip with different bars and clubs, there was lots of loud music which would have fun if it didn't scare Coco so much. Maybe we'll have to go back to have dinner one night but other than that Beale street didn't have much to offer Quinn, Coco and I. Still fun to see though, Coco enjoyed the walk and it got us out of our hotel!

Memphis
We have been staying in Memphis for the last couple of weeks and I am ready to go back to Utah! There isn't too much to do here...When I asked the receptionist at the spa what is fun to do in Memphis she replied with "Eat some BBQ and go to the movies..." So there you have it if you ever want to come to TN:)

It was a 20 hour drive to get here. We weren't in too big of a hurry to arrive so we stopped and stayed at 2 different places, rather than driving straight through. This is what Coco did most of the drive...she's always sleepy.

Our hotel room

We do have a kitchen which is nice, not having to eat out ALL of the time. Unfortunately no oven.. We didn't realize this until after we bought groceries now we have a whole freezer full of frozen pizzas. I don't know what we'll do with them LOL oops!

Our neighbors must be permantely high...This is the vent in our bathroom that the stench leaks through. Quinn has to cover it with the washcloth to keep out the smell. It sort of works, but if you stay in the shower too long, you will definitely be high as a kite by the time you get out hahaha. Aside from the constant stink of marijuana in our bathroom and the 4 flights of stairs we have to climb to get to our room, the hotel isn't bad, and it's home for the time being:)

Surfing
We went surfing on our last day in Hawaii. It was my favorite! We had a great instructor Ina, I fell right in love with him:) Both Quinn and I stood up pretty fast and even did some cool tricks where we held hands as we surfed side by side. Unfortunately we didn't get any photos while we were surfing. We had a great time though, I wish we would have gone surfing the first day, that way we would have know how much fun it was and done it the rest of the trip! Definitely can't wait to do it again!

Ina and us

Our very last stop before the airport was Napli Bay it was beautiful, we got this photo just before the rainstorm. We had an amazing trip, can't wait to go back!

Sunset Dinner Cruise
We went on a sunset dinner cruise that took us for a little ride around the island just as it got dark. The boat had a live guitarist who did a great job, so romantic:)

View from the boat

The sunset wasn't great because of all the clouds..Still pretty though

The Flash was really bright:)

The captain let Quinn drive the boat.

Road to Hana
The road to Hana was an all day drive up an extremely narrow road that had 600+ turns and crossed over 50 one way bridges. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I hate being in the car.. Luckily for the both of us we took a guided tour that made plenty of lengthy stops. It was a beautiful drive we had lots of fun and got some amazing photos. It poured rain the fist part of the trip but luckily had stopped by the time we got to the 7 sacred pools to swim, which was by far the highlight of the drive.

Black sand beach was amazing. They say if you take any of the black sand you will be cursed; Quinn tried to take some anyways, me being slightly superstitious didn't let him get away with it, I for one was not willing to start our marriage off cursed ;)

Us caught in the rainstorm

Everyone gathered in the caves to keep out of the rain

This is the 7 sacred pools we swam in, it was so fun. We climbed up to the top of the waterfall but didn't get anyone to take our picture up there:(

Snorkeling

We went on a snorkeling trip that lasted all day, aside from surfing this was my favorite. The boat took us to 2 popular snorkeling places, along with some whale watching. The snorkeling was great we saw tons of fish along with lots of colorful coral. We haven't gotten our underwater camera developed yet, I'll post pictures as soon as we do. On our trip we saw tons of fish and coral, 2 hump back whales, spinner dolphins, bottle nose dolphins, and some sea turtles! Quinn got some good pictures.

The snorkeling trip lasted all day. It was fun to see all the animals along with a few different islands of Hawaii. Aside from a little bit of sea sickness from Quinn we had a great time:)
Old Lihana Luau
One of our nights was spent at the Old Lihana Luau. We were told it is the best Luau Maui had to offer. We had a great time watching the show and the food was delicious:) We did the traditional seating, so everyone at our table sat on the ground right next to the stage. We shared our table with three other honeymoon couples, all married on the same day as us!

Aloha :)
Fifteen hours and three layovers later....We finally made it to Maui for our honeymoon!

We stayed at Lihana Shores. This is the beach right behind our hotel. On the first day Quinn, being the great husband that he is, let me sleep in while he woke up early to meet with our concierge and make our plans for the week, we spent the rest of the day hanging out on the beach, it was nice to relax after our long day of travel.

Behind us is "Big Beach" we are on our way over to "Little Beach" in this photo. The two are separated by a hill Little Beach is the nude side! We spent a couple hours there, Quinn, though he won't admit it, joined the gross old men and ran naked to the ocean:) I was too big of a chicken to join. This beach, aside from all the naked old men, was my favorite, it was beautiful!
